Within my practice I focus on my life experiences using my emotions to influence my decision making, this is linked to my battles with my mental health, I choose to follow this route because I feel that these past experiences have shaped me to who I am today and as an artist I feel that this is a way of expressing my trauma. When working on my practice, colour is something that I start with at the first instance, I am drawn to bright colours and lights, I follow my feelings when choosing my colour pallet and material.
As a methodology I choose to create instillations that the viewer can enter into, by creating an immersive experience the viewer can feel connected to the effects of anxiety for themselves. The way I portray this is through the choice of material and scale, while also creating a sense of confusion with lighting.
